Study finds TVDA program effective at helping teens recognize dating violence

A recent study by Bethany McCurdy, a doctoral student in human development and family studies, found an Iowa State University teen dating violence awareness program helps middle school and high school students better recognize abusive relationships and how to remove themselves from unhealthy situations. The Teen Dating Violence Awareness program is delivered by the Parenting: It’s a Life team as part of the Child Welfare Research and Training Project at Iowa State.
