Activating a class email list

Instructors who wish to use a class email list can login to ISU’s Account Services on the Web (ASW) > Manage Lists > Manage Class Lists > select one or more Registrar section lists in the first column > then click the small “Create selected classlist(s)” button. Your new group email name will be emailed to you and displays on the screen. It becomes active on the next whole hour, e.g. if you activate the group email list at 9:40am it can be used after 10:00 am. The group’s membership is synced nightly with the Registrar to account for enrollment adds/drop. This email group is completely independent of Canvas, works on any email system, and messages are sent to each student’s official ISU email. For additional communication tips, click the MORE link.
