Business Record features ISU receiving $1.4 million STEM grant to prepare community college teachers: The Des Moines Business Record ran news on September 7 about Iowa State receiving a $1.4 million share of a five-year, $10 million grant from the National Science Foundation will go towards preparing a diverse group of graduate students for teaching careers in science, technology, engineering and math at community colleges. Lorenzo Baber, an associate professor and head of the higher education division in the School of Education, is a member of the grant team.
