Diverse: Issues in Higher Education, EurekAlert feature study conducted by School of Education’s Brian Burt: Diverse: Issues in Higher Education and EurekAlert publish articles highlighting a study conducted by Brian Burt, an assistant professor in the School of Education. His research analyzed the experiences of black men pursuing graduate degrees in engineering, and found themes of structural racism, unfair treatment, unwelcoming environments, and feelings of isolation.
