University Professor Emeritus Larry Ebbers receives John L. Blackburn Distinguished Pillar award at annual NASPA conference

Larry Ebbers, a university professor emeritus in the School of Education, received the John L. Blackburn Distinguished Pillar award at the annual Student Affairs Administrators in Higher Education conference in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The John L. Blackburn Distinguished Pillar award is given by the NASPA Foundation to a previous recipient of the ‘Pillar of the Profession’ award who has continued to grow and strengthen the student affairs field. This award the NASPA Foundation’s highest honor. During his time at Iowa State, Ebbers has held roles including the associate dean of the College of Education, director of RISE, department chair of the Professional Studies Department, assistant dean of the College of Education, and assistant director of residence.
