Gansemer-Topf inducted into the Iowa Academy of Education

AMES, Iowa – Iowa State University School of Education Professor, Ann Gansemer-Topf, was inducted into the Iowa Academy of Education (IAE) at the organization’s October meeting.

“As a life-long Iowan, my family and community consistently touted the importance of education,” said Gansemer-Topf. “I’ve personally and professionally benefitted from the research efforts of past and current IAE members. I am humbled and honored to be nominated to join the ranks of these esteemed colleagues.”

The IAE informs Pre-kindergarten to grade 20 policies and practices through educational research. Members are outstanding Iowa scholars from various fields of study related to all facets of education and student learning.

“Education is at the heart of any strong and productive community,” said Gansemer-Topf. “Our goal is to engage in research that can strengthen and support our teachers, faculty and leaders, helping ensure a bright future for all Iowans.”

IAE is supported by Iowa State University, the University of Iowa and the University of Northern Iowa.

Gansemer-Topf was nominated by Denise Schmidt-Crawford, Iowa State University School of Education Professor and Director of the Center for Technology in Learning and Teaching.
