Learning Communities

Preparing Tomorrow’s Teachers is a learning community designed for future Cyclone teachers! All entering first-year elementary education majors are automatically enrolled. First-year students seeking teacher certification in other areas and undecided new first-year students who want to explore teaching are also invited to join!

All entering freshmen elementary education majors are automatically enrolled.  Interested freshmen seeking teacher certification in other areas and undecided new freshmen wanting to explore teaching as an option are also invited to join. 

You’ll gain hands-on experience, connections with your peers, and establish the foundation that will help you think like a teacher – by being paired with cooperating teachers. Preparing Tomorrow’s Teachers is an unforgettable experience that will enrich your Iowa State education and help you graduate well prepared to reach your future goals.
