About me: My name is Anna Holloway and I am from Panora, Iowa. I am currently a sophomore here at Iowa State University, majoring in Elementary Education. My endorsement areas include Special Education, English Language Arts, and Reading. I am involved in FTEA and hope to become more involved on campus this semester! In my free time, I enjoy hanging out with my friends and family. I like to spend my time reading, being outside, playing with my animals, and watching Netflix. About me: My name is Maddy Jacobs, and I am from Dixon, IL. I am currently a junior who transferred from a community college. Fall of 2021 was my first year on campus, and I already feel so at home here at Iowa State. I am majoring in Elementary Education with endorsements in English/Language Arts, Reading, and Coaching. I am also involved in the Tennis Club and FTEA. In my spare time, I love playing tennis, going on long walks, watching my favorite shows, and spending time with my friends and family. Coming to Iowa State from a small town and small school, I was so nervous about feeling overwhelmed and not knowing many people. However, the people I met, and the classes I took made me feel right at home, which is why the welcoming atmosphere of Iowa State is my favorite part. I also love walking around the beautiful campus, especially in the fall.

When I am not working, I enjoy going to the gym, reading, and hanging out with friends and family. When I came for a campus visit to Iowa State, I knew it was the place for me because of our beautiful campus and the endless opportunities and support given to students! I am so excited to be a peer mentor for EDUC 315, as it will help me be more involved, be a leader for other students, and meet amazing people.

One thing that drew me to Iowa State was the beautiful campus and it continues to be my favorite part (especially in the fall). My goal as a peer mentor is for my mentees to experience all this program has to offer.

I have always been an Iowa State fan so I have looked forward to coming here for college for as long as I can remember. I love going to football and basketball games, it has been something that I have done since I was a kid and I have made so many great memories!
