Crisis line

  • This free service for our students provides a 24/7 confidential text line for students facing a crisis. Students can simply text “ISU” to 741741 and a live, trained crisis counselor will receive the text and respond within minutes to help the student navigate through their situation via text message.
  • The mission of the Iowa State University International Students and Scholars Office (ISSO) is to provide immigration and cross-cultural expertise to create a welcoming and supportive environment for all international students throughout their university experience. Because laws and regulations governing legal presence in the U.S. change frequently, it is important to consult the ISSO for the latest information and to understand how it applies to your individual situation. Stop by the office periodically, check the ISSO website frequently, and carefully read the ISSO weekly newsletter and all the ISSO e-mails you receive. Note: the university will use your iastate.edu address for all official communications.
