Program Overview

In this program students earn a master’s degree and a teaching license that allows program graduates to teach mathematics to students in grades 5 through 12.   

Prospective students must have an undergraduate degree and the prerequisite mathematics courses for the mathematics endorsement or be willing to take the courses to fulfill the prerequisite math courses. Entering this program will be the most seamless for those with undergraduate degrees in mathematics or degrees that included many math courses (such as engineering, actuary science, computer science).  

Upon program completion, you can teach mathematics in grades 5-12 or work with school districts on mathematics.

  • 5–12 Basic Mathematics (Calculus not required; eligible to teach up to Geometry)
