Social and Cultural Studies of Education Emphasis, M.S.
The School of Education and Division of Teaching, Learning, Leadership and Policy offer an M.S. in Education with an emphasis in social and cultural studies of education. The M.S. is a 30-credit degree designed for students who want to develop skills as educational researchers.
Faculty expertise includes critical approaches to social studies education, critical theories of education, cultural and linguistic diversity, history of education in the United States, multicultural and social justice education, pre-service teacher preparation in social foundations and social studies teacher education, and sociocultural theory.
